Error message when selecting servers
#1

The samp works fine but as soon I click on a server an error message pops up saying "GTA-SA.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close." I have played the game normally and it works so why is it when I click on a server that comes up?
What can I do fix this?
Thanks.

We will need more information if we are to help you. Did it ever work? What OS are you using? Any hardware, driver or other changes in your computer recently? Any mods installed or uninstalled recently?
Also paste the contents of the crashlog so we can identify the opcode(s) involved

The game has always worked but the samp has not.
OS? I don't think I know what that is.
I have had no changes made to my computer.
Also no mods installed or uninstalled.
When the error comes it says click here for additional information and this is what it says:

Error signature
AppName:gta_sa.exe AppVer:0.0.0.0 ModName:gta_sa.exe
ModVer:0.0.0.0 Offset: 00346929

Update your video/sound drivers and delete gta_sa.set in \My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\ and try again. That should fix the issue.

I always report the crash but still this happens. How can I fix this?

Reporting the crash just sends it to be archived for reference and bug fixing/code rewrites. It doesnt help fix your particular client when it errors.

however, 0x00746929 is usually related to compatibility modes, especially if you use Windows 7. Try changing the compatibility mode on sa-mp/gta-sa.exe.

Right click the executable and select properties. Click the compatibilities tab and select win2k or 98

It's done but it is still not working, can you give me a list of software I need to play, just in case I'm missing something.
