Server start parameter

Are there any start parameters for the server yet? E.g. to set the slots without the server.cfg.

I'm owner of a gamehosting company and i want to support samp.

Our concept is, that the webinterface connects via ssh to the root server and the root server downloads a gameserverimage from a imageserver. But the IP and the Port should be unchangeable, but the user has to change the server.cfg.

You have to do what me and the other hosts do.

Make trolls to look at the file and report back in the panel.

Yep, that's a major downside of the server; You will have to manually check them or write a script which regularly checks this.

You could try the GetServerVarAsString Function but that is for changing ingame.

I suppose you want it via a panel? Didn't fully understand the question :/

Yeah i could do it via a script, but then the FTP Funktion wouldn't make any sence any more. SAMP is such a nice project, but i can't understand it why it's so difficult to add such features.

But thanks for your answers.

It is easy if you know how to be a game server host.

If you want to host games without the "know how", look for a reseller.

Thanks for the tip, but I will solve the problem with a shell starter.

I uploaded the script to 2shared.com. I don't think there are bugs in there, but if there are bugs please report them to me.

Readme:

Quote:

-- [ SA:MP Server Starter ] --

Useage: ./start [ip] [port] [slots]

The starter will output errors direct and to the server_log.txt
with a timestamp (standard samp-server format). If the ip (bind),
port (port) or slots (maxplayers) variables are not defined the
script will stop the progress.
