I bet you just copied-pasted the code in that tutorial without reading it..
In that case, read the tutorial again, and then try to write your code.

That's good! Now I don't know if that tutorial works, but if it does, maybe you misplaced some lines.
Anyways if you got some coding skills, you can try to do it yourself!

I did one some months ago, didn't use checkpoints because I find them eye-killing, instead I used pickups. Once you pick that up, you start capturing the zone. I told the code to check wether the player stays in that zone after starting to cap or not. If yes the timer will decrease, else if you go away the timer will reset and the zone won't be captured. Fits very well for my gangwars gamemode and it is not a long script

Hope I gave you some motivation in doing that

Are you sure you correctly defined MAX_ZONES? Also double check if you did not forget any part of the tutorial codes.

Could you collaborate further? In what sense is it "outdated and un-optimized"?
The difference between both is that the second tutorial is more user friendly and zones can be easily edited.

I suggest to add a simple but effective forum rule:

"Users may not ask support if their used scripts are more than 4 years old".

Stop with this un-optimized codes, callbacks, functions and so on.

We're almost in 2019, WAKE UP! People are stuck still with dini, that's impressive.
