what sad :,v xD
What a joke, best thing you've done for this community is skipping out on updates. Better go on a 4 year vacation now, because that's best you're good at.

Since some servers still want the downloading feature to be available now, 0.3.8 will be re-released as a seperate SA-MP version called 0.3.7-DL, which will be an optional download and have its own server lists. Parts of the existing 0.3.8 code that aren't related to model downloading will make their way in to 0.3.7 updates. Eventually the downloading feature will be part of a main SA-MP release, but the 0.3.8 version will be skipped.

to be honest, NO-ONE will download the DL version, since it won't be listed at sa-mp.com (optional download). so why wasting time on that shit? Don't you many servers just wasted a bunch of money and time to create models and hire modders & mappers from different countries, JUST to bring something unique to the scene, and you just did destroy everything after 5 months of dreams and hope for a new start. well, this unbelievable. You destroyed everything, again. EDIT: there's no difference between 0.3.8 and 7. there's artwork, but it is toggleable. so why disabling the whole version, while you can still launch it and let the users choose what they want. |
0.3.8 was going to let you disable it serverside. If it's not the official release than it's no good to anyone because many people play multiple servers and aren't going to change their version every time they want to play a different server. |
People that are spitting the dummy and acting like they actually shut their server down for the 'release', and those who are whinging about coding for the new release, and not being able to use it, are simply using this as an excuse for their failures.
If your code was working, then it wouldn't be a problem. If the features are being brought in in future updates, then the code isn't wasted. It's much easier to lay the blame on something else, rather than admitting that you can't understand development branches in SVN/GIT. If you can't understand development, then maybe you should stop fear-mongering on a development forum and making out that it's terrible. They'll be added over time. |

That was definitely answered in the first post... |
