It doesn't matter on SA-MP if you get 80 or 100 or 150 FPS, it's the same. On other games it's different.

A common 60Hz display can only display 60 frames per second anyway. Higher FPS only makes sense if you also have a monitor to support it.

Must be one of those U ones. Really shitty marketing tactic from Intel. The i7 U-variants perform about as well as a desktop i3.

Or if you'd like to record without dropping down to 50 FPS, you can always use /fpslimit if you get over 60.

It really doesn't matter though, if you got a 244gHz monitor, then you should get a better computer to compare with it. But if you got 60gHz and it "feels" like you got higher than 60 FPS, you really don't. What happens is that the monitor skips through frames and just makes you think you got a higher frame rate, but in reality, you just get 150 frames cropped into 60.

I do play with 90 FPS on a 60 GHz monitor because I like it when most thing speeds up, as explained above. And I can then record with Xbox VNR at 80-90FPS on a 1280x720:60 monitor, while it's real canvas, is 1920x1080, however, my laptop is too weak. (School laptop)

You're playing a 12 year old game that was rendered in 30FPS when most people still used 4:3 monitors. You won't make it smoother.

SA-MP is capped at 90 FPS by default (probably for good reasons). You need a CLEO to uncap the FPS which I assume you have.

Getting more FPS is really not going to make a significant difference. We're talking about GTA:SA here.

SA-MP actually caps out at 98 FPS without frame limiter enabled on Windows 10 and 102 (?) on Windows 7, not sure about 8. You should go into the NVIDIA Control Panel (or use the nvidiaProfileInspector tool) and optimize certain settings. Make sure you're also using the Prefer maximum performance setting so there's no throttling (not saying it won't throttle based on temperature) and so the GPU uses all it's capability.

IIRC, it's always been 90 for me. I'm on Windows 10. It's somewhere around there. Nonetheless, it's probably capped for a good reason.

Well man, i think that you're lying about 140-150 FPS.
i have a laptop which better than yours and i only get 97 FPS pr 101 FPS in the maximum graphic settings.
i have Intel Core i5 7th Generation 7200-U Kaby-Lake 2.50Ghz with a turbo boost up to 3.10Ghz
I have Nvidia GeForce 940MX GDDR5 which better than the DDR3 so much
and
8 Go RAM "DDR4" which better than the DDR3 or the normal RAM.
and i get only 97 FPS or 101 FPS in the maximum graphic settings and without the FPS Limiter

It's not like we're playing CS:GO where it actually matters. Regardless, I doubt you're playing on a monitor that's higher than 60 hz, so you will get zilch in terms of actually benefiting from higher than 60 fps.

Here for those of you who get over 100 FPS and want to use that 100+ FPS for some reason..

For you my friend its better to either use a program like SpeedFan, it is a simple program that overclocks your processor as well as controls the built in fan. There isnt much, just upgrade you pc and maybe consider to buy a new one.
