You can file a DMCA take down notice with the hosting company if they are US based, and even if they are based in Europe many hosts will respond to one of those requests as well.

What this shows is how pessimistic some people can be when the issue doesn't affect them...

DMCA is pretty major... It's a legal document, filed correctly that can draw you into court if you continue to thumb your nose at it.

Another thing is that the SAMP team can actually remove people from the server list for running actual copies of your gamemode, however, you have to prove it... Which can be an issue if they have been able to "edit" the script... But really, most people that copy, can't script, so when asked "How'd you do this?" they can't exactly prove that they can script such a thing without copy-pasting.

Name the last server SAMP has taken down for leaking a script and specify WHEN it was taken down.
Nobody deals with this any more, its not even much of an issue.

I remember multiple servers being shut down for this very reason. I can't name them, simply because they were small servers trying to profit from leaked scripts and thus their names didn't stick. Evolution was right, the host has the obligation to do something about it. if they don't, then their host can possibly shut them down entirely.

Excluding servers from the server list doesn't shut them down... It simply removes them from the list so the clients can't find it.

DMCA will shut them down from the hosts end.

As for why it hasn't happened recently, either no-one's been reporting it to the right people, or quite simply, no-one can prove it is a copy of theirs... It's not that hard really to figure out if it is an edit, it just takes effort that's diminished by people claiming that it can't be done...

Now lemme suggest you some. first of all Please rename your includes with your own word ( I do so ) . after compile Please delete Some main information from public .pwn ( no need to do if you don't want to share .pwn ) . thats it. One more thing We should not trust anyone except Allmighty GOD ,Parents , Bother-Sister, and some of your friends who really can be trusted.

if you want to start a new gamemode or make a huge update to your current gamemode, make it public. All samp community can use it and your rival community will not be so great as they are now.

You should NEVER share your .pwn file, you can basically just put the .amx file on the hosting server to run your server.

For future purposes try to leave some back doors in your script. Like most people do backdoors to give themselfs 99999 admin, but thats pretty stupid. I would suggest you go for something that will fuck with bits of the script so it cant work any longer, and maybe something that allows you to change the host name from ig, so you can change it to something like "dont play here, they support child porn" idk?! just be creative lool
