Hey Everyone!!

I run a 'mtv' style ustream video channel with a growing community of viewers. The site is mostly an embedded video player with a chat box underneath. One of the few things many of my users have in common is their LOVE for SA-MP, so it got me thinking about running a server based on our video channel.

Sounds silly, but my users are crazy about the idea of our video stream being displayed in-game, either on billboards, or video displays on buildings ie: Times Square, with the channel's audio streaming through one of the radio stations.

The idea of robbing and hitting eachother while watching the video stream does sound like a lot of fun, but is that something that is technically possible to script? I know Second Life has had success with it-- http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Stre...in_Second_Life

What say ye? is this realistic? would be another unique feature that keeps SA-MP relevant in 2015 despite the 'latest and greatest'

so you can play your own audio streams via servers actually. But up to my knowledge it (at least at the moment) is not (yet) possible to stream videos on servers. You can edit the texture of objects whihc would allow you to show (more or less) a picture on a certain object, but you won't be able to stream videos.

2nd: How much damage does this have on ram, cpu, etc?

I know it's not SA-MP.. I've been avoiding MTA for years as I've always been a SA-MP fan from the early years.

Not sure of the impact on system resources, but isn't pushing the envelope the entire point of keeping a game that's 10+ years old relevant? do we not want to rock the boat for gta-sa in 2015??

You can't stream videos in game and I doubt you ever will.

I believe it's possible, but will require alot of work and wont be as good as you expect, I'm talking about showing pictures after each other, by loading them all then showing them one by one, like an animated picture.

the last link i posted seems like the most realistic option.
