Be aware | Virus/Malware | Newbie members | READ!

Hello guys,

I am not going to write an essay here. I just don't like to see others getting on same shit what happened to me.

This is my 2nd time that i received kinda undetectable virus from newbie members here. This mostly happened from "Looking for?" thread. There are some newbies like saying "I am looking for host! got a great serva!" and once you agree with him and downloaded his/her server files for test run before uploading to your host etc... the virus already fucked your PC...

Yesterday i got a virus from a person, it was happened same like above. The virus makes your PC's UPC Usage to 100% and that means your PC is lagging and so so so much slow.

Also i was not able to backup my important files, it's block every USB port. Even my newest updated virus guard was only spamming my desktop but it can't remove the virus.

Somehow, i recovered all my files without losing them.

This is just a warning for you guys, think again before trusting random guys on here, especially newbies.

Thanks.

Running .exe's from people you don't know is like unprotected sex. Get yourself a virtual machine/sandbox/use virustotal before doing anything. If still in doubt, compare to standard samp-server binaries (all executable + linkable files). If STILL in doubt, learn reverse engineering, grab ollydbg/ida and analyse the program. If STILL in doubt, set yourself on fire

I never open executables from someone else in the first place. If I can't find the original files on the interwebs, I run a security scan on it with a few virus scanners, then I might open it, if it's really necassary. Otherwise I just grab the original files from the official website.

SA-MP doesn't allow binaries in download files in the public. But in the private, its dangerous. And the thing you wrote isn't an essay.

Yes, I agree with you.

They have a shitty antivirus, Which doesn't warn them.

You can easily purchase a crypter and some might even have private stub. Most are FUD (fully un-detectable) so no AV on the market will cover your ass. Get your facts straight before posting.

Ahan?

If antivirus is up-to-date then i disagree with your statement.

Wrong, there's always a fight between AV companies and hackers. You're never completely safe just because you use an AV.

Yeah agree,

As soon as they come to know that this is virus or any X they will start making cure for it and send a update notification, But most of them just ignore as a trash and they suffer later.

I think that AV companies build Viruses theirselves, that's the only way to sell an AV. That's just my opinion, i have no facts about that.
