What is the best CPU for gaming within the given price range.


I was thinking the AMD Athlon ii X4 Black Edition for overclocking.

Althlon 2 x4 BE is a good CPU maybe if you are luck and you have the right motherboard you can unlock it to 6 core

It sounds good, and it's specs are pretty good - but depends what you're planning on using with it as to whether it's overkill or not...

Start by telling us what your socket is. But I had a good laugh at 'gaming CPU' and 'Ј60'.

CPU is not very important on gaming .. depends on what GPU you have..
obviously if your GPU is faster the CPU cant hold it

1155 or AM3 and you can get a capable gaming CPU for Ј60! Not something with the likes of the i5/i7... but something that can play games

If youre unable to decide for the components, get a completely assembled PC.
