New permament ban system??

Hey, I'm running GTA SAMP 24/7 Server, and I got some people cheating (spawning guns etc) and I don't want them on my server. I ban their IP's but they use something called "hotspot" to change their IP again So I'm wondering if there is a way to permament ban them? Like ban their CD-KEY Guid or something? I'm sick and tired of having these people on my server.

check their ip range see from what ip to what ip its being change for example 98.128.66.12
Then they join with 98.128.66.15 they you would need to ban the 98.128.66.*

Hey, I did that before. Like I banned the first 5Numbers in their IP's. But they change their whole IP, not just the last 4numbers...so that's why I can't fix this problem . But i'm gonna log in the server logs and see if their IP's has the same numbers at start.

I personally experienced that Hotspotshield never worked for me :S I used something else, that had limited IPs..
so if I would get banned and banned over and over I would ran out of not-banned IPs..
But uhhm, about permanent ban... I've not seen anything script-related that can do this... plus GTA SA doesn't require a CD key btw..

If they playing in One account, with one nick, so you can ban it for nick not for IP, and when he will join, you kick him from server

This is a really good Anti weapon hack. I've been using it for quite a bit and not one person has got past with hacking a weapon

They will just change the name and come back. The IP already is a lot harder to change.

Changing the IP with proxies will mostly cause a high ping (e.g. hotspotshield is 500+), so adding a pingkicker might also help, even legit guys with more than 500ms ping wont be fun for other players anyways.
For the router-reset ip change, you could query a ip tracker, hand the location to a geocoding service to get its global position, and check whether its closer than some miles to all guys you recently banned. Hackers use to spam joining, after trying it for some minutes they probably wont ever come back, and if they do, ban them once and the geocoder does the rest.
These two tricks should already get away most of the usual ip changing hackers.

The best way of banning the player is doing a range ban + nickname ban.


I'm still hoping for kalcor to add again the serial system ;P

You could ask Kalcor about making a "Client ID", which every client permently have on each computer. Then it can be possible to make a permament ban.

I don't think you can permanent ban someone if he can change the IP and the nick as he wants, but there's one thing you can do: using a good anti-cheat system that kicks them every time they cheat, so they will get tired of your server and search for one without anti-cheat.
