I would like some help :)
#1

Basically , I have been scripting a server for like 1 week.Iґm not a pro , but I got it running and like 9 people in the server (hosted by my computer).

Problem is , I have a dynamic IP address , so I logged off last night , and my parents switched the wifi router off, and now my IP has changed.

I can log on to the server when running samp-server.exe and searching that 127.0.0.1 or whatever the IP is, the problem is that somehow the rest of the people cant join.

I have portforwarded 7777, but when I do it , it says "ip" , so which shall I write? I have written my current IP (new one) , but people cant seem to log on anyways.

Btw, it isnt anything about script , because I have also tried LVDM (the one with samp server) and it still doesnt work.

Any help? Itґs like really weird.

With my IP changing , do I have to do anything to portforward it? Btw , i would like people to speak in a "non proffesional" way , as I am not a "pro" in this stuff.

Regards.

You would need to re-portward it and set it back up again.

Or just use No-Ip - Setup the starting record type A ip,download the client and leave it open when you run the server.

Then you've to portforward just your local ip and give your new noip to others.

So he don't have to worry when his ip changes.

The problem is that when I re-portforward it, It asks for "IP"

(here at the bottom you can see http://portforward.com/english/route...-MP_Server.htm)

and I type 7777 and stuff, but the IP address should be my new IP address? I have typed that and it still wont work. Or shall It be something like 192.168.1.1 or something? (it gives me "computer name" , and options 192.168.1.2 , 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.4)

You should not need to re-portforward unless your local IP has changed.

Read my post above, you can avoid this problem everytime the ip change.

You've to portforward your local ip.Open exec, type "cmd" then "ipconfig" - At the line where it says: Ip address,it's your local ip.

Go to your modem/router,at the Port Forward section, copy the Ip address found in ip config and you're done.
