Calm Down.
As the author stated, the program is in BETA, it is not perfected yet.
If it "ruined your gm", simply reverse the changes you made to it useing the code generated by this program, or use your latest backup.
If you did not make a backup then that is your own fault and not the fault of the map editor.
There is also no need to insult the author for creating what i think is an excelent program, simple because you can not use the code it generates properly.

Asshole? He can release whatever he wants (working or not), if you were stupid enough and you didn't make a backup copy of your GM its your problem, i assume you won't forget from now on.

The program is good, but with some detail bugs.

You make it sound more like an Alpha, than a Beta release. (Beta is usually considered bug testing only, and most massive or big bugs are fixed from Alpha stage, with nothing new left to add, just bug fixing.)

Its not Him, who fucked it up...
It is you - Who FUCKED it up...

Why not delete the stuff You changed, lol??
Sounds like he exported and overwrote his original script.. the editor doesn't update existing pawn scripts, it just exports a bunch of createobject code lines.

Very funny. I'm sure that Developer/Global Moderator noticed this topic (they stickied it) and DIDN'T removed the download link, then they agree.

The forum rules say "ALL script releases must include the .pwn file (the source code).", now please read that carefully.

If you have read that very carefuly you would have realised that this editor is >>NOT A SCRIPT<<, therefore it doesn't have to include the source code, if you even looked at the first post you would see that it is not another ingame object script...

This editor is similar to moomapper / MED, it doesn't run in san andreas game, it loads the 3d game files and allows you to work inside the editor.

The source code will be released however in nearby future.

Paduche: use the export functionality, then put the exported data into your script.

Before, I would have agreed, as it was two Beta Tester's over IRC, Being Yourself and Popz, who Agreed with your logic, But now when I think about it, it was You guys that were wrong, And Pghpunkid who was right, Who recently actually had an application that was removed from these forums due to the source code not being posted, Which offcourse, is back open as Pghpunkid was forced too post the source.

Whether you are a Beta Tester or not, it does not give you the right too break rules.

Still waiting for someone to respond to my report....

EDIT:

And I can see im not th eonly one who Disagrees with this:

I am not a dev.

In reply to Grove:

If anyone wants the source code he can ask for it and get it, that's fine, if moderators remove the whole topic i don't really care, but Grove, your approach to this is totally without any respect (next time try a nice word first, "please" does make wonders sometimes), the reason i didn't release the source code at this moment was, that i have registered a sourceforge page and wanted the code to be accesible there (yeah sorry i just haven't quite figured out how to configuire tortoisecvs to use sourceforge's akward cvs servers), i have several times told on irc that the code is availible to whoever is interested into it, if you think i'm lying check out the date when was the sourceforge project registered.

I was not aware of the rules ****** wrote, i remember reading those a whiile ago, and did not realise it now includes a clause covering every program released, also originally the topic was not even posted in the "Script Showroom", but the parent forum which had no such rules, and if moderators and developers would have thought the code contains something malicous they would probably have alerted me on this rule in 2 months since this program was posted.

However Grove, i disagree with your attiltude of "forcing to release source code", why the heck do you go publicly demanding for source code without even telling me first about it, you reported the topic, that's fine, but i think you lack proper communication channels, if you or anyone else really wanted the source code so badly why wait until moderators would deal with this rather than just telling me about it? plus, you can't really force anybody to disclose source code, "removing it from the forum threat" may be a good detterent, and i would be willing to take the chances just because of your wrong approach and attiltude, and because it would be your fault that they can't have this wonderful tool into which i invested a lot of time i could have spent much better (like watching porn or arguing with people on irc) which you obviously can't appreciate.

The way i see it is, we can do 2 things about the rules. either 1, heavily enforce this for programs, or 2, lost the rule regarding compiled programs such as mine, and yours. Either way, with out the viewing of source code, regardless of Sourceforge, if mine wasnt visible, they took my links and i am still under fire for the object portion of my program.

And also let me just point out that I had to argue with you for more than 20 minutes on irc, with People like Matrix on my back aswell, before you actually released the sourcecode, so you wasn't providing it on request.

Anyway who cares, thats not Important now, Whats Important is that you have posted the sourcecode, Thankyou . (I think anyway lol, Cant work SourceForge )

I'd also like to apologize to you for any compilcations in which you may have thought I was being dis-respectful to you, As I can asure you, I didn't mean too be dis-respectful as I personally find this application very useful, and have reccomended it too a lot of map editors

Thanks,
Jay

But wait.. i didn't actually post the source code publicly, are you blind? yes you are, i think it must be your lifetime goal to "force" me to release the source code or something..

Pghpunkid: i agree that rules should apply to all, okay i didn't notice the rules and for 2 months i didn't even know the particular rule existed.. and nobody actually told me (even you didn't, if you pointed out this in your topic you could have told me as well.) until now.. what i don't like now is grove's approach towards all this, i have every intention in letting the people have the source code (especially since it isn't only my code in the editor), if you really needed it you could have asked for it even on irc.. I am even planning to release a lot of code for other editors i built but seriously, i have a job, i haven't had time to do anything with the editor for last month, my plan was to release the code, but i wanted to find time and write some comments in it to tell anyone looking at it how it works, i don't want people later annoying me on msn about it all the time, sure i can just dump the code here, and pray people don't bug me about it, but i don't want grove or anyone else trying to force me to do this prematurely, i hate deadlines at work where i get paid to write programs, and i certainly don't need people like grove to force me here where i do things for free out of my good will..

Moderators can demand the source code to be up right now otherwise they can ofcourse remove the links until i did, ofcourse they have every right to do that, but just so people aren't suffering if moderators decide to do this, here is the bloody source, comes with no warranty whatsoever, don't ask me questions about it, formatting is terrible, comments are rare, i will ignore any questions regarding the code, but if you wanted it like this then you can have it like this!
