I currently have a 1TB HDD and I want to buy a 128GB Crucial M4 SSD.

I only want to clone:
-Windows 7 (OS)
-Firefox
-Start up programs like Steam, Windows Live

How can I clone only those specific things? What software must I buy if any? Norton Ghost? Acronis True Image?

All current tutorials I've been watching have only been capable to clone EVERYTHING from the HDD onto the SSD.

I personally use SyncToy. ****** it and you'll get the link to the MS website.

It's a free and small program made for Windows, by MS itself. You can synchronise from left to right, from both left to right and right to left AND choose not to delete stuff if you don't want it. Exception files can be made.

You'll then have to select the folders you want to copy.

Copying and cloning always is a dirty way, better just reinstall it manually. Shouldnt take longer than 2 hours, while fixing clone problems can take uneven longer.

Got a question. If I uninstall my OS from my HDD, and reinstall it on my SSD, will I still have all my files? All my documents, photos, videos, games, programs, etc.? Or do all of those get deleted in the process of the OS and I have to reinstall all those too.

Actually just realized Win7 has no feature for no uninstalling. I think the only way I can do this would be for me to backup my current system, reformat my hard, install the OS again. Then finally, restore the backed up files.

Why dont you just keep the files and windows on your hdd?
You can move all user files after installation, and having an additional win installation on another hdd never is bad incase you got problems with the first one.
