Servers faking their players?

http://monitor.sacnr.com/

Almost 2 pages of servers with 500 players online.. all to go to a new IP and these are all real servers as checked on SAMP client with those amount of players.

It's funny, because Fenix Zone isn't the only server faking its players.

I saw this a few days ago. There should be a better method for reporting these things...

probably using a CNPC plugin and function CreateNPCPlayer...

Would be amazing to see Kye updating the server files to kill CNPC and these servers get blacklisted.

I don't think this is anything to do with CNPC. They're just exploiting the fact that we have very light conditions, allowing servers to advertise themselves without registering. The IP ranges of these servers are being blocked as they come online. We may look at requiring registration for servers to list themselves, as this problem has been going on for a while and seems to be getting worse.

Brilliant idea! I'm sure it would significantly reduce the server list too.

And reducing server list is about 1000 servers online in the list or something and about 20000 players?
That would be about 10 players per server because some are really famous but still players would get a bigger chance to get in a good server instead of a bad server that is online for 5 hours per day and if you play on it for hours you get banned for no reason and loose everything..
And maybe for a server to be added to the list it needs to be online often so not a one-day-life-server.

It is server registration, Jeroen52, not player registration. The server owner would have to register their server in order to see it on the internet list. I don't think it would reduce the player count...

so people with dynamic ip's would have to register each time there ip changes.. to open a test server?

Test servers don't need to be on the public internet list.

Normally there are about 20k players online after I have eaten and I do mean servers because normally there are about 4000 servers online and with this idea it can be reduced to about 1000 or 750.

Servers with dynamic ips are just home hosted servers which i think shouldn't be on the public internet list
