I'm not really sure why versions r39-3, r39-4, r39 failed (forgot libmysqld.dll perhaps?) but as you got R41 loaded, it's okay.

About db_get_field_int and db_get_field_float functions, they were added in 0.3.7 R1 or R2 version. Update executable (include as well) files: https://sampforum.blast.hk/showthread.php?tid=581259
