I am 100% sure that your school network is blocking UDP protocol.
Since the UDP protocol is blocked, you can't do anything, unless if you have a vpn connection fully working in your uni network.
If you can, and the vpn you have ALLOWS[if i seriously doubt that] "port forwarding"[not the correct term], then you're safe.
