Run the server on port 80? -
Gilmar - 12.05.2014
Hi, I'm connected using my University's connection, so it seems like the port 7777 is blocked and seems like I have no way to host my GameMode, because it doesn't work also with Hamachi.
There's a way to host my GameMode using port 80? Someone tested this way?

Uh I wouldn't try to host anything on uni internet, get a private vpn, look to see if they can forward opera and run it from there.

How can I get a private VPN? It's free? Ah, I didn't write that I want to host my GameMode just to test it with my friends.

You can only have port having 4 or 5 digits. Why not try other ports instead? You can't use port 80 for server.

Use a abnormal VPN, And that should allow you to use port: 7777 (And other 4-5 digit port(s)).

I am afraid but you can't have 2 digits port for a samp server.
I think you can't even port forward a 2 digit port .

It's possible to use the port 80 for the server, since the moment there isn't any other service using it.

I am 100% sure that your school network is blocking UDP protocol.
Since the UDP protocol is blocked, you can't do anything, unless if you have a vpn connection fully working in your uni network.
If you can, and the vpn you have
ALLOWS[if i seriously doubt that] "port forwarding"[not the correct term], then you're safe.

Just use a VPN, or buy a cheap host for testing/messing around with your pals. Or, if you just want to go along with a simple free host you can use sa-mp.gs, or triangle.gs. Cheers!
