I'm pretty sure there are many other topics explaining how to port forward etc, but here's a simple rundown.
1. If you are behind a router and modem, call up your ISP and your router provider and tell them you want to port forward.
2. They will most likely give you an address to type in such as 192.xxx.xxx.xxx and you will be able to forward the ports from there.
3. If you are running a firewall on your computer, you must add an exception to where it allows that port to go through your firewall.
