ip change need help - myandyou - 17.03.2009

my server is now running on a 192 ip i want get him on my own ip so another people can play

how to do that?

Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com and copy the IP that displays and add the ort which you have set up in the server.cfg and simply pass it on to your mates so they can enter the server. now i have port forward this port 192.168.0.105

and my ip is 83.87.123.76 so if i want that friends of my can join i must give my own ip and than with my port than they must see him

you gotta port forward port: 7777 not your 192.168 ip

I'm pretty sure there are many other topics explaining how to port forward etc, but here's a simple rundown.

1. If you are behind a router and modem, call up your ISP and your router provider and tell them you want to port forward.

2. They will most likely give you an address to type in such as 192.xxx.xxx.xxx and you will be able to forward the ports from there.

3. If you are running a firewall on your computer, you must add an exception to where it allows that port to go through your firewall.

my port is forwarded to 7777 with ipconfig and firewal is off

i will look or my friend now can join so i must give the ip from http://www.ipchicken.com/

with :7777 after it

than is my server on master list but he cant connect

wats frong with my server?

That tester is a lil bugged, Just insert you IP from www.ipchicken.com into your Favorties List, Then if it shows your server stats then your all good to go

If you are trying to connect to the server from the same computer the server is being hosted on, you must connect by putting in the ip 127.0.0.1:7777. If your friend is attempting to connect from a computer that's inside your house (e.g. on the same router as you) he will need to put in the server's local IP address (192.x.x.x:7777) to connect to the server. If he's connecting from a computer at his house, the you need to make sure the ports are fully opened on your router and modem.
