Yes. There is a glitch where if you run at an object and grasp it quick enough, it will instantly kill the player.
I myself have experienced this multiple times on the corner stone at Pershing Square, and on the railing near Palomino. (On the bridge).
This obviously however has nothing to do with the 'ninja-jacking' glitch as Calgon stated.
