I understand the basics of lag shooting but I still need help
#1

I'm confused. On the server I play on, I have <50 ping. It was always my understanding that the greater the ping - the further ahead I need to aim to compensate for their lag. However, recently I've noticed ping can be misleading. For example, someone with ~80 ping can be nearly impossible to hit, and then someone with ~400 ping rolls around and I can hit them by practically not compensating at all (aiming almost right at them).

Can someone please go into detail on how to determine where to aim while fighting on foot? And how does my ping factor into this as well? Lastly, how does one's frames per second factor into this? If your FPS is higher, are you an easier target?
