First thing, don't say that.
Second thing, fix your grammar.
Third thing, fix spelling.
Fourth, use more 'professional' words (ex: instead of noob, use newbie)
Fifth, follow Robo's, Lolumadds, and Ubersocks tips.
Sixth, if you're a noob, don't run a server.

Well, it's peoples' own decision and opinion. Some like stunting, while others like deathmatching. You should be neutral in a conversation like that, critism is mostly accepted, while insulting will make you look like a dumbass.

Well, how would anyone get anywhere? If no one tries, then SA-MP will begin to die as those who's server's peak at this point in time will lose player bases due to lack of interest. It's a fact of life, you live and you die, you have to die someday.

I'm not having a go at you, just that you shouldn't really put people's hopes down by saying that. People should never set their goals too high, or unreachable though. It's always best to start small, and that is where everyone who is beginning to learn how to code in Pawn should be encouraged to start at.

I didn't mean him specifically, I meant newbies to SA-MP in general. I've seen so many people who just joined SA-MP and try to start a server, fail miserably, and then get discouraged from SA-MP altogether. If he's a Pawn noob then that's fine, everyone has to learn, but even still you shouldn't be just starting out with Pawn and run a server in my opinion. You should script just to learn, and then when you get really good at it, open a server, that way if players ask for something, you can script it instead of saying "I don't know how". I see where you're coming from though and I agree.

That's fair enough. I guess there should be more people out there though, guiding newbies through learning Pawn.

Even a VERY unique game mode and server at hosted tab doesn't mean anything.

Hosted tab seems to be overhosted, sa-mp forum is not a good place to advertise the server and I belive there are no other possible ways to promote the server. It's like a magic circle - people on the server attract the other people to play on that server, what means the new servers must be given a lot of luck to get over this.

For everyone who is complaining about internet and hosted tab. We can have unlimited new tabs and it won't change. However, you can filter your results and list them depending on number of players online, so you only check active servers.

I can't really say i've had a very populated server in the past but some things you should do:

- Don't Rush scripting, Doing that can lead to bugs. Bugs are horrible and nobody wants to play a bugged server...
- Publicity, Get some good Publicity going, Advertisement Page On SA-MP Forums, ******* Videos a nice signiture etc.
And remember don't rush publicity, the More professional it looks, the more better the server comes across to me to be honest.
- Ingame Spelling (ClientMessages etc..), Seeing Clientmessages in a server that have poor grammar, spelling and certain words makes it look very unprofessional and makes it look like a 9 year old wrote it... Example of bad Messages: hey welcome 2 my server hav fun!!!!!!!!!
- Admins, A nice, active admin team is good. I had a server for a month once, started with just 4 of my friends and me, We was all admins, Just because of the admin team we must have got around 4 more active players. Even thou' that is only 4 players it makes everything up in the end.

Ive been pondering a question? How do you become popular and If I did, would people be nice to me?I just need to know because people are always mean to me and I think its cuz Im "un-popular" and Im sure you guys will be mean in your replies so Ive just been wondering if you can be just a little softer?

Thanks everyone the server is averaging around 20-35/40 people a day now. I put myself in the hosted tab. And i've made a nice advertisement poster which moderated amount of people are viewing. Anyways Thanks Alot... But how can i make the people stay on the server now.. That's the next big step.

In certain cases yes. You have to be a very good scripter like Seif or some other kind and own a server that averages alot in a day. It worked for me, before i was noob that people always walked on but now i get respected and make the rules around, it's sweet to be making decisions like a pro but also it depends on which sever you're on. Naturally i think all servers should be nice and equal, come join ours we have repect for new members.
