Those singstar microphones are designed to pick up sound from every direction and larger distances, so its difficult to filter that. Try turning of the microphone gain in the windows sound settings, this might help a bit at least.

There's nothing you can do really, I have a Blue Yeti and I still pick up the odd occasional background noise.

It's a very difficult thing to isolate to one reason.
