SA-MP for GTA Vice City Stories PC Edition?
#21

Yeah, thinking about it, I too support a sa-mp version for this, taking into account that vc-mp is dead and is way more limited in functions and callbacks.

We do know about that, I'm a VCSPC programmer and also an active contributor to GTA LC :P

EDIT:
If you're interested, I've taken your 'Airport Aggression' and finished it so the latest GTA LC version has it fully playable now (+ 2 new courses for Staunton and Portland)

@down
Craig said the mission was yours. It also contains your arrays workaround (which I like, simple and efficient).

The problem with VCS PC adaptation is that we alter the EXE heavily, resulting in something very similar to 5mb compact EXE. Last time I tested SA-MP with listener's compact EXE, it crashed. I think the mod relies heavily on HOODLUM section addresses, so it won't make the adaptation easy to make.

Regarding the official statement - we're neutral about this - as long as the adaptation won't require much input from our side (I could help by altering the hacks a bit, but not too much), we're fine with it.

The tension is killing me, could someone just make a simple program that let's you host a server and connect to other servers, and change your name? Just SOMETHING would make it all the much better. Here's a small picture of what it could look like, no hosted servers, nothing big, just a server connection:

Well. We have the community, we have the interest and we even have SilentPL here saying he can give a hand if it's needed.
I guess now it's worth to take a shot.
Or we could wait a little bit more, advertise the mod on ******* with some kickass trailers to get more people's attention and then go for it.

I'm willing to work on a trailer although I'm not an expert.

Now we can test it all together, and also be testing VCS:MP at the same time!

Every TC has bugs. Even GTA United 1.2 has bugs and 1.1 had way more bugs than this mod.
Also, most of the bugs discovered and reported were thanks to SA-MP allowing players to explore together or just stepping in a bug.
This is a win/win.

VCS Mod is out with BETA 3 + updates and it's still being developed. Ready to be played.
Regarding MP mod we're still waiting for an answer.

I think it'd be useless, there's far more players that play the standard version, there's no point in porting SA-MP to this game, considering that Rockstart started putting restrictions regarding mod, it'd be harder to do so, and i don't actually se a point to it, Just use the standard, compatible, modder friendly san andreas.
