What's so important that you need to reply so quickly?

Probably it will be locked, but I agree: before I didn't have any problems with the waiting time, and now it makes my blood pressure rise.

It's not that it's so important, it's just kind of annoying to wait a lot for those who post many times daily.
For example, I want to reply to few threads and I've 5 tabs opened with the replies. Then I just need to wait 20 minutes to post those 5 replies.

I could care less, I don't really post that much anymore. And even if I do, I don't consecutively post replies in a very short time, which means that I usually post every half an hour or x hours.

Me too, after this update of the 240 seconds, I just can't be bothered between posts waiting all that time. I use to reply to 90% of the topics in the scripting help section per day, now I reply to probably just 5%. It gets boring, and the fact that I'm clumsy sometimes and accidentally close the wrong Chrome page, and end up wasting around 15 pending replies.

Yea, that's the thing too, it would have been good if the post time went down for 30 seconds every X amount of posts until 120 seconds again.
I.e, newbies with 0-250 posts have to wait 240 seconds.
251 - 500 have to wait 210 seconds.
501 - 750 have to wait 180 seconds.
751 - 1000 have to wait 150 seconds.
1001 + have to wait 120 seconds.
That kind of works to be perfectly honest.

Your general idea is great, only I would base it on rep. I think that says more about how 'usefull' a member is to the community. I know it gets abused alot, but it still says more than postcount imo.
