anti ddos - Pro_Scriptor - 05.08.2012

is there any host provider which provides anti ddos if yes then tell me quick

Re: anti ddos - Samp_India - 05.08.2012

Yes,just pick a host with Cisco Guard .

Re: anti ddos - iLinx - 05.08.2012

There's no such thing as "Anti DDoS" for game servers. Even Cisco Guard's can be flooded.

Re: anti ddos - Pro_Scriptor - 06.08.2012

i saw a host which has ddos protection for extra money and i forgot the name
and where can i buy cisco guards

Re: anti ddos - ColorHost-Kevin - 06.08.2012

No host can offer total protection. Its just not possible.

what about this

Re: anti ddos - iLinx - 06.08.2012

If you have a 1Gbps Cisco firewall, and your attacker has an attack magnitude of 1.5Gbps, the firewall will be flooded and your server will still go offline.

1.5Gbps > 1.0Gbps. Simple math.

This is pretty true, but if you just have a bigger limit, the DDoSer will have to sent more so the DDoSer has to be a proffesional

Re: anti ddos - playbox12 - 06.08.2012

That's untrue. I doubt theres such a thing as a proffesional DDoSer haha. It just means he needs more bandwith, for that he needs a bigger cluster of servers (or infected computers practically the same).

Re: anti ddos - iLinx - 06.08.2012

A 1Gbps attack is not too difficult for even a skid to pull together nowadays thanks to lowered server prices however it would flood most server ports and is generally large enough to get null routed by your DC.

Re: anti ddos - VOXrr - 07.08.2012

For cheap? I know a lot of people who've had a good experience with BuyVM's DDoS protected service.
Basically, they just route traffic from Awknet's filters in Los Angeles down to their racks in San Jose - I could be wrong though.

Trouble is, they're out of stock rather a lot.
