What do you think, is the key factor that keeps the players on a server? Specifically, on a roleplay server. Please share some thoughts.

Great, thanks for the info everyone. Nice to see some mature members on this forums.

EDIT: Why do you think if I say "unique script" it won't get me any players? It's not 100% unique, like 99% of other SAMP servers, but it has some cool features, from C4 door breaching, SWAT helicopter rope sliding, RC toys etc...

Small features like those aren't enough. You need continuity, a mature and supportive administration team, well rounded community, and member mainstays.

There's no 1:1 guide on "how to be successful". The best option is to make the game enjoyable and that's as far as advice goes.

Mature administration team, sincere staff and the one in the world "Hosted Tab".
Because if you have hosted tab more players will join and other players will stay entertained.
I, myself dont like to join empty servers and my own server is empty half of the time because of not having Hosted tab.
Seen servers with 0 admins online 24/7 getting 50+ player base. On hosted tab, yes.

A Decent community, heck the GM can be an edit or not for all I care, if the people who play there are cool then I'd probably stay.
