There were KNOWN bugs with SA:MP and Vista upwards, this could be caused by instability on the operating software maybe. Different hot-fixes, etc. I guess you have been lucky if you haven't had problems. I myself use XP Pro SP3 and so have never had any problems, at all.

Get some patience, it comes when its finished and you cannot push them to finish it now or work faster. As you maybe understand, its not all done in 1 day. Get some cups of patience and it will be finished some day :P

The reason clothing (AFAIK) hasn't been added isn't because Kalcor doesn't know how, but because the two mods have a different approach at the way they were created. Which goes into some more details, but I don't feel like typing that much.
