Well I understand his decision and if you think a little bit you will understand too. It's to keep the originality of the game of the gta we all know it.

At least he is giving u the opportunity of talk to him to have the possibility of add new skins.

So don't complain and don't complicate the situation and please just help to improve the new version.

Its important keeps the game originality or in other way we gone lose the game sense.

You can see yourself that people have been making content that fits fine with the game and with its artstyle. How is limiting the opportunity to add additional content going to help it in the long run? Why should the community which is trying to extend the life of the game by making content for it with the same style be blocked from doing so when the feature already exists and has been used quite successfully? It's the same principle with games like Arma for example, the mods for which have extended its lifespan significantly.

Re: Is it still worth it? - LocMax - 04.11.2019

Can we know the names of people that contributed to the decision? (you said "we"), and then can we know based on what was the specific decision made considering the amount of benefits along with the amount of server leaders that gave a clear vouch for DL?

And how is Red County Roleplay, Los Santos Roleplay and co. keeping GTA:SA suitable (not lore specific - for idiots who roleplay) objects to themselves keeping the game alive? Because of the lack of skins that server owners are able to use with permission, smaller servers are forced to use high poly models because that's what they have the licenses to.

And that's the failure of 0.3.DL. If you want custom objects on 0.3.9 go write a program that can sync custom.img or something similar.

Just because you don't know how to create your own models, doesn't mean that RC-RP or LS-RP have to release the models and skins that make their server UNIQUE. In case you haven't noticed, there are plenty of GTA SA Suitable models and/or skins released in the DL section.

Red County RP and LSRP are platforms that many people enjoy. That in itself is helping the overall community because there's something to be enjoyed by everyone in SAMP. Be it TDM, RP or whatever. Just because they keep content internal doesn't mean they're not helping, they're servers that can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone.

It's a bit amusing that you jump to calling people idiots for something they like doing but I digress.

People make their content because they have sat down and learnt how to do it. You're saying that there's no point in doing it because 'small' servers don't have the resources to do it which is absurd. If you don't want the content, don't add it, if you don't have the resources, don't add it. But why prevent others from enjoying it who have spent time and energy into trying to make the game interesting? Reward those who try to innovate. You instead would rather have everyone limited because you don't think it's fair they get to enjoy the content they themselves made. I've made skins, many people have made skins. If you want to learn to do it, you can. And that's how you get content in. Not with licenses, but with personal dedication and motivation. Nobody's forcing you to do anything.

What you said has in no way proved the failure of anything. Ridiculous.

RCRP or LSRP don't automatically have the people and resources to make content, it's usually players who enjoy the server that share their skills to help it. Individuals - people that took the time to learn and put something together usually want their work to be published and used on the larger platforms and that's it is. But if you look around, you'll discover that modding on samp was long before DL came into consideration, there's literally hundreds and thousands of archives of mods released be it skins, vehicles etc that people like you can grab, edit and use it for your own.

this argument is obsolete given the above.

Re: Is it still worth it? - BloodMaster - 04.11.2019

Eh... Make 0.3.9 good then I guess.
Will 0.3.DL get updates aswell? As a separate fork?

Thanks for wasting everyone's fucking time.

This was during the early introduction of 0.3.8 but when it got canceled obviously we became pessimistic about it.

Re: Is it still worth it? - Witting - 05.11.2019

What a way to fuck the dudes who have actively tried to support and help you in the past and even now, hope this doesn't send SA:MP into the ground. Best of luck for sure.

Re: Is it still worth it? - cataplasia - 05.11.2019
