I never used the DL ones, not yet...
But i think it is not a good idea having 2 versions
I think u should make 0.3.9 the only one version and on client have a warning/icon/tag to player in server u have to download stuff

can we just make new sub-forum for this discussion?

I would suggest something like this implemented in sa-mp
https://sampforum.blast.hk/showthread.php?tid=637041 but unfortunately the download link is dead.

Guys... Kye already said he is done with this mod. You're only getting a security patch and writing down all your suggestions are a waste of your time because he's not going to read them and/or comment on them, let alone implement them.
This is probably the reason he refuses to comment on stuff, because every time he does the gullible come out and spam an essay with native suggestions. Talking about giving someone the little finger (0.3.9 patch) and you take the whole hand (add DL + these 256 functions and callbacks).

Yes, it's all upto Kalcor. Making votings or spamming this thread to merge them ain't gonna work.

I thought I posted it at some point here but could 0.3.9 have
SetPlayerAttachedObject's limit increased? Maybe double it and have it be 20 slots? Pretty sure everyone would appreciate this, especially in roleplay servers where players could further customize themselves as well as have server owners use it more for some creative "effects" without taking away slots dedicated for a player's self use of accessories.
Just a thought.

Edit: doesn't matter at all.

For all of those who are suggesting new features:
There's a bigger issue at hand here, please take those suggestions elsewhere.
Coming to the main point of discussion:
Kalcor, the SA-MP community has shared it's opinion, they really do want 0.3.7 and DL merged. Why is it taking so long? What's the matter? Why are you so skeptical?
I do understand there might be a-lot of repercussions popping up from the decision but I can guarantee you it is better than releasing DL as a separate version whilst 0.3.7 is already there. Server owners are afraid their server might die if they switch to DL because it's not an official version, how hard is to understand that?
Literally everyone's been saying that, I just read the whole of 72 pages of this topic.
smh

Kalcor increase player slots to 2000, improve 0.3DL and don't remove it because everyone likes 0.3DL and there are many servers which are running on 0.3DL, and I'm pretty sure that it's the best version which has been ever released.

Hi Kalcor! I’ll ask you to introduce one small, but useful, I am sure, for many servers, function CheckPlayerCheat(playerid.
Allow this function to check for the presence of a file in the GTA SA folder with the name "d3d9.dll". And that’s all. Thanks in advance, this will save, perhaps, a quarter of cheaters. Thank!

If there's d3d9.dll it doesn't mean it's so-beit.

Kalcor said that the reason he doesn't like custom content is that people tend to get away from San Andreas style.
d3d9.dll's are also taking away from San Andreas style.

Why wouldn't you remake SA-MP and change many feature, then do the security routine updates.
Honestly, i'm not like 0.3DL because 0.3DL is just like MTA.
Many ppl requested to add custom model, just go to MTA then if you want to custom model. SA-MP is like a Vanilla multiplayer of GTA SA and based on 1992 when in that year... almost no modern building, naruto thingy, or another object that focused to make SA-MP look modern.

They'll most likely open multiple servers and make them full instead, it's not smart to keep that huge number of players hosted in a single machine anyways.

But every server won't use it. This would be a big advantage for players. Plus not every server will use models like naruto, somebody like me (just an example), I would just add Vice City and Liberty City beside the main map to gain more playable space.

Same thing, I'd do an open world GTA:SA on my server, those naruto stuff are just crap.

You should stop spamming this thread with your constant negativity, you contribute nothing to the discussion and keep derailing the conversation.

I created a concept in my community called open-world, the idea would be to take buildings and open structures for players to enter. Some examples of what I did:

Going further, turning vehicles into objects and making it possible to transport motorcycles and bicycles in pickup trucks:

This year I released the possibility of players dynamizing some positions in their properties, for that I used 0.3.DL features to make a dummy for him to position and set the position easily.

Also this year we had a bear hunting event to see how the community would behave if we decided to set up a wildlife system for some side hunting job, the experiment was a success and the custom skins feature was very well used.
