This thread reminds me of the time when GTA IV was released and everybody went crazy searching for Ratman, even though it was just a myth. :D

This one seems to have been planned out by Rockstar themselfs though. They placed the mural in such a place and with symbols that would obviously spark the interest of the internet, thus creating the myth.
