nv4_disp.dll infinite loop error. Will a new GFX card help? [FIXED]
#1

So, I got this error with nv4_disp.dll. It says it's making an infinite loop, so the computer shuts down itself to prevent damage. I see a blue screen then, and I need to restart my computer. I only get this error while I'm playing games. When I play Fallout3, the screen freezes and the computer crashes in 5 mins. When I play SA:MP or GTA UMP, my pc crashes after ~15 minutes.
Anyways, I've seen on the internet that the problem might be an error with the drivers, or something wrong with the hardware. Now, I updated ALL my drivers, but it's still not working. This means the 'hardware' should be the problem. I just got my brand new Nvidia GeForce 9500GT, and I'm waiting for my mom to install it(yeah, I know, I can't do it myself ) but she will be at home in a couple of hours. What I want to know it: Did anyone ever experience this problem? If yes, will a new GFX card fix it?

I currently got a Nvidia GeForce 8300GS, with all drivers up-to-date.

FIXED.

Well, my old computer ( 10 years old AMD Athlon single core 256mb ram 80 GB HD and Nvidia Gforce 6300 ) did this all the time in GTA, FSX, CS.. all games that required graphics..
Ofc, i got a new computer ( new, intel pentinium duel core processor E2040 @ 1.6GhZ, 1GB RAM & 200 Gig HD ) and i've not even froze, BSOD'ed or anything, but i'de think it was the RAM, this graphics card is worse than the 6300 ( this is an onboard ) ..
Try Upgrading RAM

Upgrading the RAM memory wont cause the graphics cards drivers to stop.

I had this before, with old drivers. I think its your hardware thats making the drivers to stop responding / crash.

Never mind, the new card fixed it all.
