I have downloaded the patch to downgrade it, I have no mods, no cheats, no error messages, yet when i connect to a server and start the game it goes to single player, anyone have ideas?

I have it too.
I've deleted the mods and gta_sa.set, uninstalled and reinstalled both gta sa and samp three times, the debug program sent me into a game with no one else and after entering text, I couldn't read the text.
I also downgraded the GTA sa, and I installed a GTA sa directory in another folder in the Rockstar Games folder only for SA mp.

*I got it to work; I went to settings and re-saved the path to the root folder.
Anyway, I got it to work, get to the vinewood/connecting screen, when I get:

I pressed continue and i got to the game

Debug isnt for playing on servers...
So if you dont see any cars or text thats correct.
You need to start the samp.exe thing and then search for servers.
Debug is just for people to get coords and stuff.
