Xbox 360 Help
#1

Hey Guys,

Within the last 5 or 6 hours I noticed that my xbox was really loud. I know the 360's are already horribley loud but recently it had been even worse. Anyway, I'm happily playing along on rainbow six vegas 2 when suddenly I get 50% of the circle flashing red. I thought OMG but then realised it was only two parts of the circle flashing, not three. I searched and found that it might just be overheated. After leaving it for about 2 hours I came back, switched it on but it started flashing again after being on for about 5 minutes. Anyone got any clues?

Which way do you keep your xbox? As in standing upright, Or flat down?
I used to keep mine standing upright, But due to the hazards of having a little brother it constantly fell scratching all my discs.
So I keep it flat down, I have never had the Red Ring. I know 4 is a sign of something unplugged. 3 your doomed. 2, 1 usually due to overheating.. Cover it in a dry towel (I know it sounds stupid but it actually works, I've seen it done on *******)

Shit, my controller keeps fucking disconnecting randomly. I'd be p0wNinngfgg t3h Z0mB13 nuBz0rz than "Reconnect Controller" (Left 4 Dead). Microsoft must be generally shit

It works for a week, it only makes the problem worse after that.

I'd reccomend that if it is overheating you replace the thermal paste under the chip, buy some artic silver If your not a techy guy find someone near you who will do it for a small fee.

I've had the same problem, It's overheated or you have fried something. Open your case up, and leave it for about 5-6 hours.

I think you're talking about Red Ring of Death.
This is a known problem, I have 3 Xbox 360 with this problem.
There are a lot of tutorials explaining how to fix this, just use: "http://www.******.com/"
By the way, M$ already fixed that problem with the new JASPER motherboards.
