I keep the server I'm developing running 24/7, but the only people that know the IP and password are those who are helping bug test. The server is being monitored by SACNR, but few times a day I'll notice an incoming connection that never fully connects. IPs always trace back to Russia, don't know if it's something to do with SACNR, or just russian bots attempting to connect? Not a huge issue, but just curious if once it goes live I can expect bots?

Whitelist the server meanwhile you developing it if you annoyed by the bots. I guess thats the best way to handle them.
