You can force update it, it's pretty easy.

There's more to it, other than the main design, the menus also changed, inputs and other stuff too.

I also love the new webstore design.

To update go to the menu on the top left > Help > About Go0gle Chrome > It should check if you have the latest version. I believe it's Version 69.0.3497.92 for the time I'm posting this.
Hope that helps, personally I like the new theme.

Interesting. I am using roughly the same as you (within 200MB) and I have a twitch video playing, and 9 tabs on my main monitor.

Also keep in mind that some extensions you've installed could also takes a lot RAM.

Guys this topic is not about Chrome RAM usage, it's the design of the new update.

You don't use a browser just because of RAM, there's a lot more to it.

The design is so cool. They want to use only one single design style in all their applications (search engine, browser, e-mail, etc.) However, I don't use it because G-company sends a lot of personal information to their servers.
