Where are all the players? (DayZ)
#1

I just joined samp dayz with about 250 players online. How come when I join the server and press the scoreboard button (TAB), it says there's only 1 player online, before it was showing 2 but the other player logged out. The map seems to be completely dead, can't find any of the 250 players that it shows are online, nor can I speak to them over general chat either. What is going on?

January-March/April are exams for students. Although you can see russian servers never run out of players.

Yeah I understand that, but what I mean is the server on the samp browser actually says it says 230-250 players online and in-game, but when I go in game I cannot find anyone else. I can see players writing in the global chat but once I log in it all disappears and tells me I'm the only player online, and I can't find anyone in the map

Probably that's a delay. Usually it freezes and when you enter, the only one playing is you. Usually happens to me most of the time especially if a server has like 100+ online.

Russians

They're most likely bots.

Yep already explained this earlier.

Some of these servers need looking at as not all of them are on bad machines. Join a 'full' server, and it turns out to be empty... Yet the query is still showing many players.

When you cannot just deal with the fact that there can be so many people playing a game.
I see the person that would scream a hacker when the other player is better than him.

When you join a server though, are you able to stop people turning up in the playerlist? Because if you can't, then there's many that are empty, and reporting in the server list that they are 95% full...

Worse still, is that _IF_ you were joining a server, with 230 players, what's the 'odds' of obtaining ID 0...

I dont really don't to defend whatever I said nor I am targeting Russians specifically here, but by what he said I am certainly sure that they're bots.

I myself own a DayZ server and like to keep an eye at other DayZ servers for competition, and trust me this server has been with over 250+players whole the time, day and night.
