I have a custom client, for me the error occurs aswell. It seems that the server is buggy or someone intentionally tries exploiting a bug again.
For me its the same server by the way. Here is a screenshot:

It's because the server is sending NaN in 'p' opcode, exactly in the byte 11.
EDIT: This server in particular is sending 0xFF in all response bytes of 'p' opcode.

Looks like someone tries to mess around with the query mechanism.
