Crash when trying to start SA:MP.
#1

Hi, I'm Jeff and I'm having some problems with the GTA SAMP; I'm coming from the Spanish forum because I couldn't find a solution there. I tried, and I still trying looking for one in internet but there's not anything.

Here's what have I tried already:
  1. Removing all my mods.
  2. Reinstalling GTA SA and the MP launcher.
  3. Compatibility (I put it Windows 98/ Windows Me).
  4. I completely formatted my system (I'm using Windows 10).
  5. I tried installing anticrash.
  6. I installed DirectX.
Nothing, helped me to find the soluction and it was working in my laptop before (with Windows 10), this crash just came from a moment to another. I'm thinking that the problem started perhaps when my system made the last Windows Update, and something changed.

Here's the crash:

Did you have any opcode warnings in game before it started crashing or it just crashed all of the sudden and wont let you connect? Also, have you tried starting up GTA SA? What does it say when you do.

Nothing much to it, what did the troubleshooter say when you tried testing it in Winsows 98/Windows Me?

The troubleshooter didn't find any soluction and also I tried to run the normal GTA SA and it doesn't open. I'm thinking that there's the problem. I just click and click, nothing come out. Also I didn't get any opcode or warnings, anything, it just came out.

I just download it, do I put it in the SAMP folder? I put it where I have installed the GTA and MP launcher, inside the folder named "SAMP".

Not really familiar with crashing mods (by that I mean those who solve crashing issues) but I wouldn't download any. Again, your choice.

I can say I had a similar problem to yours and my solution was: redownloading (yes downloading) GTA SA and running it in Windows 98/Windows Me. When I ran it in my previous GTA it also didn't work. So try searching for a newer one and try downloading it.

It's weird how the troubleshooter didn't say what the issue was, could you run it again and check, just to be sure. Since it must be one of the above answered.

I gave you all the advice that I know and what usually works. If all of the suggestions didn't work then the issue has to be with your PC. Is it old? Or maybe, are you using a older laptop, or a medium one.

GTA SA/SAMP don't usually cause any issues but some other games do, like, if you installed a game that your PC can't handle eventually other games that it can will stop.
