Original owner of P:LA got put in prison for having relations with a minor (underage girl), gave the server to his friend who changed the name of the server to Opis Roleplay.

Project Los Angeles did not shut down, the owner got arrested for some child porn and went to jail. He was released and sold the server to a gaming community named Opis Gaming, they later on changed name to Opis Gaming Roleplay which was to be honest a bad move. They made a mass unban on all players.
