Shotgun damage

Hi,
I made a weapon damage system, I disabled default damages. I got a problem with shotgun. All is good, the damage depends on range, etc. But what is wrong that even 1 bullet will take the full damage. So let's say shotgun takes 75 damage, but even if player gets hit by 1 bullet it takes 75 damage. Is it possible to make the damage depend on the bullet count? Like 10 hp per bullet so it will be good if all bullets hit the player, but worse if shot from distance as few bullets hit the player. I hope you understood.

I would suggest simply lowering the amount of damage that is dealt by the shotgun.

As far as I know it's not possible to register individual shotgun pellets.
I'm sure there is a way to do it, however I am not sure quite how to go about it efficiently.
