Centos7 Server crash, out of ideas, probably streamer.
#1

Hey,

So I have bought a VPS and its all installed correctly, but when trying to run the server it crashes. When not loading streamer.so the server starts with runtime error so I think its because of streamer. I tried older versions but no luck.

I would try using CentOS 6, if that's available to you. I have had compatibility issues with CentOS 7 when I used to own a server myself.

Some plugins just generally say "Linux". Very few have compiled versions specifically for CentOS. Although, it's best to stick with Debian anyway

I dont think I've ever run into a problem with a /so plugin messing with something on my linux boxes because I happened to be running Cent. MAYBE a loooooonnnng ass time ago when the MySQL plugin first came out, but that was like 2007 2008. Since then...no.

For the record, my Linux has been CentOS from day 1. I havent tried CentOS 7 in depth, but was able to launch two CentOS 7 SA-MP servers running the latest streamer and theyve been up for days without issue.

CentOS is a perfectly fine server platform. In fact, CentOS was designed from the ground-up as a server platform.

EDIT: this is from the crashdetect output
Code:

Im sure this is a long shot, but do you have any strings that contain "odd" foreign characters or you using an obscure language/keyboard on the machine you use to script?
