You do not need to downgrade steam version. Just ****** gta sa hoodlum no cd fix then download it and replace it with your gta_sa.exe . You can run sa-mp on mac with crossover and winebottler. I used both but I had trial version of crossover and it expired so currently using winebottoler.

Note: If you are going to use winebottoler after moving it to applications folder open it from launchpad and you will see wine icon next to your wifi and bluetooh icons click on it then click on winetricks and select the list below then click apply and you are all done after that you can just run samp.exe from your gta folder.
