Linux VPS: Scheduled Backups?
#1

Hi guys,

I was wondering how huge SA-MP server developers backup their server data [user accounts, houses etc]. Is it possible to make a scheduled, auto-backup in a Linux VPS?

If you have knowledge about this, please share. Could be useful for others too
Thank you

It's possible to use an auto-backup system and think there is a tutorial in forum too. Huge Servers just backup their databases.

I was wondering how does huge servers backup their databases? Either to cloud storage or the VPS itself?
I am afraid something bad would happen, database corrupted, etc

It's best to backup it to an external server, you can use dropbox or some other cloud storage: http://www.howopensource.com/2014/09...up-to-dropbox/

Any large business with a right mind wouldn't be thinking about running their production server AND storing backups IN one server. Like dugi said, go for an external backup solution.

Look up on incremental backup, full backup and differential backup for more information.
