How to detect mod sa?
#1

How do I know if a client that is connecting has mod sa or other mods?
I've already seen on other servers

You need an anti-cheat.

Actually you can't detect the mod itself, just some of its cheats.
If you want an ****** free server dont make a samp server but an mta server.
MTA servers are capable of detecting ******

There's no way of doing it script side..

Would be good if Kalcor could include a downloadable file like Battlefields "Punk Buster" and just have a server param to decide whether to use it or not, if it's set to true it would scan the users directory for the mods then deny them access, though if it did happen every server would use this, and the kids with the mods would cry.

It was possible to detect it in 0.3x but some guy made a new version out of mod sa and patched where you could catch it, so it doesn't work anymore.

I'd suggest searching for anti cheats like everyone else said. There's a lot of good ones out there.

There are still many ways to "check" if anyone is using that mod.
