Dedicated IP address?
#1

Does anyone know how to turn my IP address into my domain name? as in "play.example.net:7777"
Using cloudflare as my DNS manager. I've tried cname play. to my domain but not working.

EDIT: Now it's quite working but not showing the status, Gamemode, Players, Ping, Language and etc...

First of all, a dedicated IP address is an IP dedicated to one server, shared IP addresses use the same address across multiple servers(containers or can even be just one server).

If you want to have players use the hostname instead of your IP address, you need to create an A record that points to your server address, make sure all of your networking is set up, and your server should resolve under "server.example.com:7777" in the sa-mp client.

Try to remove one. Make sure you only have one either with IP address or Domain name of your server in the sa-mp client on favorite tab.

It appears that the SA-MP client has trouble resolving hostnames or something, because eventhough my servers are still alive, i don't see any information, however i can join them.

This happens rarely, you could've experienced that too.
