Linux Manjaro
#1

Hello mates i want to give a glance to Linux Manjaro although i have to install it. I try through a programm named YUMI so i can install it through USB stick(It is requested by our teacher at university). I wonder if a cheap pc can run both windows and linux or it could cause any problem? Will a second system affect the computer at all? Any helpful replies are accepted

There shouldn't be a problem to have Linux and Win installed. (Primory/secondary)

Will it affect each other or make pc run slower? Or something like that?

Running both OSes at the same time (eg. in a virtual machine) will affect your PC performance, especially if it is a low-end PC.

However, dual-booting won't affect your PC since only one OS will be loaded into memery at a time, but both linux and windows have to be installed on different PRIMARY partitions, so it's most likely that you'll have to repartition your HDD (or you could get an additional HDD just for linux)
