SAMP Error - HELP
#1

I downloaded GTA san andreas from steam but here is my problem:

1.When I'm trying to install Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, SAMP doesn't "allow" me to click on "OK" and install it.

2.When I'm trying to install SAMP on folder GTA San Andreas, SAMPS allows me to click on "OK" - what's going on?

You need to downgrade the steam version to the 1.0 US version (****** it).

What is that "\??\C:\" stuff? How's that not picking up "C:\" as such? without the /??/

I'd say start over, uninstall SAMP and GTA. Install GTA, downgrade it, then install SAMP.

Last I remember the Steam version was 2.0, but it may have changed since.

Run everything as admin, and disable your AV whilst installing all of these. (This may be the problem, with rights, to write)

In your first post the reason the 2 folders work differently is one is 1.0, one is a later version. The one that allows you to click OK, would be able to use SAMP. The one that doesn't needs downgrading. It's checking the gta_sa.exe when it's going to install.

I wonder how many times we will say this SA-MP has nothing to do with crashes/game issues. The whole point of crash /issue is your GTA:SA (original) game is messed up or you got mods in it.

Try all solutions:

- Re-install GTA:SA + SA:MP
- Install GTA:SA in other directory (ex: Rockstar Games Clean) instead (Rockstar Games)
- Run SA-MP as administrator
- Delete gta-sa.set file.
- Delete registries from your PC
- Don't use mods because it will affect SA-MP gameplay.
- Make sure you got Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (V.1.0 US/EU)

Just a notify your Windows is too old and non-supported anymore.!

How'd you end up with 2 SA folders in the first place?

The first one has a compatible GTA_SA in it already, why not use that one?

Never seen that exception before, which seems odd.
