I had this problem atleast a dozen times when I was working with Centos 6-7... very annoying. There is a fix but I forgot what you had to do... i'll try looking around the forums and find it for you. Although what did fix my issue before is, I installed Ubuntu instead of Centos and everything went smooth and fine, no issues what so ever.

You're probably using a 64 bit version of centos. You'll need to install the 32 bit version of MySQL instead of the 64 bit one.
