Q: Diagnosing random blue screens?
#1

Hi everyone,

I am wondering how do I diagnose random blue screens and what causes it in DETAIL? It rarely happens, however I'd like to know how to diagnose and what causes it-, to prevent further blue screens.

Download BlueScreenView and check the latest dump file(s). You can see the error type and the particular .dll which is causing it. You can either tell me on PM or you can do a simple ******, you'll find alot of similar issues then.

Just download WinDbg from here
And use this as symbolpath
Код:
SRV*C:\dev\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
Then open crash dumps from "C:\Windows\Minidump"

If you get bsod that complain about ntoskrnl.exe often, most causes is bad ram or with wrong ram timings in bios, horrible usb drivers and bad disk controller. Overclocked your pc? Then remove your oc

Edit: If your computer just restarts without showing BSOD, then your PSU need to be replaced

Could be the CPU, could be the mobo, could be the PSU, could be the wiring.
